Dan and I visited La Poza today, a fresh water lagoon and beautiful beach on the outskirts of Todos Santos. We are on a juice fast so did not stop to eat at the restaurant but the menu looks delic 🙂 The path to the beach was a fun little hike over a rocky path in the hills, lots of great photo ops of lagoon and beach. Saw some pelicans, was pretty hot so I guess all other creatures were keeping a low profile to stay cool. Really a nice time, recommend!
Just want to help spread the word about this fun event 🙂

CALA was born in San Jose Del Cabo and has been surfing and swimming since she was 2 months old, surfing both San Jose breaks as well as Cerritos and Todos Santos area surf breaks. Cala LOVES surfing. She is now 4 years old.
CHOCOLATE Chocolate’s owner is 4 time Mexican Surf Champion. Chocolate, AKA “Choco” is 2 years old lives in Pescadero. He has a lot of energy so it could go either way for him. WILD CARD.
PIRATA has been surfing for years. She is now 9 years old. She lives right next to Cerritos and spends most of her time at the beach. She has a determined attitude and gets really long rides and has even gotten barreled. TOP CONTENDER
ps. Stay out of her way.
BARAKA & Pups (Team Baraka) Baraka and her 2 pups are in excellent condition. They all live near Cerritos and love the ocean. Brothers Hermes and Birote are both 1 years old.
KIKO is the owner of Cerritos Beach. He has patrolled the beach his whole life. His surfing is okay most of the time… except when he’s too preoccupied maintaining order on his beach.
KOA surfs and lives in San Jose del Cabo. His owner is a surf instructor and takes him out to surf often. TOP CONTENDER
Bronko is 11 years old. Not the most aggressive surfer in the pack… but sure wins a lot of points for cuteness and he just might charm the judges. Bronko was born in Spain. LONGSHOT.
So Dan and I have been here since March and have been shipping about 15 packages a week from our local postal office here in Todos, to destinations around the globe. So far I am happy to report that the service is reasonably fast, reliable, and affordable. There are three levels of shipping cost and service, International Economy mail without tracking averaging $2.50 USD per package, the same service with tracking @ $5.oo USD per package, and International Air Mail @ $30-$50 USD per package. The economy shipping takes between two and three weeks to most places, 2 weeks being the average. The air mail takes a week and a half to most places. The tracking is wonderful, the web site is easy to use and a perk for US peeps is that the tracking number also works on the USPS.com web site.
One thing to keep in mind is that here in Todos Santos the postal office is not open on weekends, and occasionally is closed for no posted reason. It is a two person operation 🙂 Also they are closed on most holidays, and there are quite a few of them.
We also have a post office box with them and it is $30 USD for a year. I have received packages from the US and in Mexico pretty quick, and in all shapes and sizes, with ease. I really have to give this Correos De Mexico postal service an A+. 🙂
