Angelica Vélez Robinson, founder of Women Awakening is a native of Denver, Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science. She and her husband fell in love with Todos Santos five years ago while visiting Cerritos during arguably the worst time of the year to be in the area, September. Carving out a niche for themselves in Todos Santos over the past few years, while holding down a thriving criminal law practice in Denver has presented some challenges, but the work has been joyful and the experiences and friendships they have made have been life changing and incomparable. Angelica woke up in the early morning after her birthday with an epiphany: she must create a women’s summit in Todos Santos. Perfectly poised for such an event, Todos Santos hosts a variety of festivals throughout the year. Angelica was honestly surprised that a women’s summit didn’t exist in Todos Santos already. The feminine energy in Todos Santos is a rarified and powerful thing and learning so much from other women in her life, she wanted to create a unique and enlightening knowledge sharing experience with the women of Todos Santos and beyond. Once she shared her vision with the co-creators of Women Awakening, the wellspring of ideas was tapped and began to flow. Angelica Robinson and the co-creators of Women Awakening are honored to share this uniquely unifying experience with you.”

I look visually and viscerally into the oneness of the universe – capturing for a moment the truth of ourselves,” says Jill Mollenhauer, an artist whose multimedia paintings offer a succinct spatio-temporal display of form, color and figuration. Working with acrylic in a process that gives her paint on canvas the translucence of watercolor while maintaining the vibrancy of acrylic, she creates ethereal compositions with subtle gradations of color. Highlighting meditation, the regenerative power of Nature and the Divine Essence of collective humanity as the source of her creative flow, Mollenhauer is a visionary abstract painter with Transcendentalist leanings. In addition to pigment, her paintings often incorporate layers of paper and found objects such as metal, shells or beads she finds along the coastal regions of California and Mexico. Jill Mollenhauer is a native of Southern California and currently resides in Todos Santos Baja California, Mexico.
Born in Mexico City, she finished her professional studies at the Tourism School of the National Polytechnic Institute. After some time, she began her first studies in numerology, a technique that continues to improve since her consulting in Mexico City has been increasing over the years.
Her studies have led her to many countries such as Morocco, France, Canada, Egypt, among others, where she has experienced intense revelations, adding great potential to her knowledge and vibrational levels.
As a public figure, she has been invited to television and radio networks, as well as collaborations in magazines and the written press, where her talent and charisma always stand out.
Her successful workshops; ‘Karma’, ‘Vibration’, The Kybalion and ‘Remembering your original project (blue print)’, fulfill the main objective of raising the vibration and level of consciousness in people.
Co-founder of the Re-creation of Being, and one of the pioneers of the Holistic Tourism concept, she travels the world through the main energy points along with the “travelers of light”, in a journey of constant awakening.
Zoë Dearborn has an MA in Counseling Psychology and Expressive Arts Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and a BA in Studio Art and East Asian Studies from Oberlin College. She teaches two ongoing expressive arts therapy classes in Todos Santos: Art Journal Lab and Dance Lab, offers online courses and has a private practice as a counselor and creativity coach. Zoë is also an avid writer, singer/songwriter/guitarist for the rock band Zoë Dearborn and The Mischief, a trained actress and improvisor, photographer and creative collaborator. Originally from Brooklyn NY, she now lives off the grid in a homemade desert homestead near Todos Santos with her husband and 8 year old son.
Elena Ascencio-Ibáñez is an artist, English/Spanish translator and entrepreneur. She has been collaborating and translating the work of the psychiatrist, meditation and Dharma teacher Dr. Robert K. Hall for years. Most notably, Elena translated Dr. Hall’s collection of poems featured in Buddha Now, Buda Ya, as well as his most recent collection of Dharma Talks Así Es, which also features her own artwork. She has worked with Dr. Robert Saltzman, as the editor for his recent book The Ten Thousand Things and as translator of his writings.
Elena is also a Dharma teacher in her own right, and travels throughout Mexico collaborating with Dr. Hall for silent meditation and Gestalt retreats, and is currently in training as a Gestalt guide. She lives in Todos Santos, Baja with her partner and two daughters.
Hillary was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, where she works as a lawyer representing workers in disputes with their employers. Her law practice focuses on bringing lawsuits to recover workers’ unpaid wages and suing employers for discrimination and/or retaliation against workers who have asserted their rights. Many of these cases are resolved through settlement, either through direct negotiation or through a formal mediation process. Hillary is so grateful to have spent last winter in Todos Santos and Pescadero with her partner and three children (and newly acquired puppy), where she was introduced to the magic of Baja California Sur. She and her family love spending time on the beach, camping, and eating fish tacos. When she is not working or jumping in the waves, she loves reading, bicycling, and going on road trips.
Elena Moreno is a yoga teacher, writer, doctor of Naturopathic medicine, environmentalist and business woman. She is on the board of a number of nonprofit organization including the Cancer Registry of Baja California Sur, The Center for Renewable Energy and Environmental Quality, Circulos, Inc. as well as other organizations dedicated toeducation, conservation, service, personal growth and indigenous traditions. She also is the founder of the Empowerment Series, an educational program for personal growth and spiritual development, which is taught in the United States, Mexico and other countries. A mother and grandmother, Elena lives with her husband of 46 years, her 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren in Todos Santos, a magical community on the pacific coast of Baja California Sur in Mexico.
Marimar has been teaching yoga in Todos Santos for twelve years. She loves her ongoing teaching practice and the community that surrounds it. Her vision has always been to be able to teach and practice in a beautiful, natural place, where the outer landscape and the inner landscape could be in harmony. At the same time, she dreamed of offering the space to other teachers and practitioners from near and far so that they could share their gifts, creating a powerful vortex of creative and healing energy. When the time was right she and her husband, Oscar, designed and built Cuatro Vientos, a center for yoga, arts, meditation and movement. The space was officially opened to the community in January, 2015. Marimar lives in Todos Santos with her husband and two children and is also the owner of La Esquina, the café right next door to Cuatro Vientos.
